Christmas meant we could cut Gloriosa superba for the table decoration.  Yet 2011 brought no flowers.  The one pot had only rotted Gloriosa plants and the other is now flowering, a second flower in February - all very strange. So orange is Christmas, but not 2011, even though the Crocosmia made up for the Flame lilies not performing.  Going back in photograhic records from December 2004 I have selecetd these pictures.
